Our Manor House project in Chester, set on a sprawling historic estate, was a challenge we were eager to tackle. The house, a landmark for decades, was recently acquired by new owners who envisioned a blend of its time-honoured aesthetic with today’s comforts and security. They turned to us, keen to balance the storied architecture of the Chester smart home with the conveniences of the 21st century.
The task was not simple. Marrying advanced smart home tech with this architectural gem without undermining its integrity was paramount. The vastness of the manor demanded systems that were both expansive and efficient. A seamless fusion of heritage and innovation became our goal.
Our approach to completing the Chester smart home seamlessly embedded modern technological comforts into the Manor’s historic fabric. A sophisticated Multi Room Audio System and Video Distribution ensured every corner of the estate was melodiously synced, bypassing the inconvenience of multiple satellite boxes. User-friendly Remote Controls made command an effortless affair. Acknowledging the importance of security in today’s world, we incorporated a top-tier CCTV system and an Intruder Alarm System.
A Video Intercom for the gate added another layer of security, allowing safe interactions with guests. We also addressed the very British need for consistent warmth by integrating a Full Honeywell Heating Control, promising warmth in each room. Recognising the indispensability of seamless digital connectivity, we set up a robust Wifi & Data Network, complemented by intuitive Touch Screens and Control4 Processors. Our UPS systems ensured uninterrupted power, and with the addition of Starlink and its 4G backup, the manor’s connectivity remained unbroken. Constant Alarm & CCTV Monitoring served as the vigilant guardian, ensuring residents felt safe and secure.
